Celtic v Hamilton (Sat Aug 2nd 2020)

Celtic 5 (Edouard 20, 49 and 53, Frimpong 31 and Klimala 90) Hamilton 1 (OG Jullien 34) Celtic kicked off the season in blistering form with a 5-1 win over Hamilton at Celtic Park. A star man performance from Edouard as he scored a hat-trick.

McGregor was a key part of the game for Celtic with 119 touches of the ball, 100 accurate passes and a 92% accuracy rate.. Taylor had 2 assists, Forrest had an assist and Jullien had an assist. Christie had 6 key passes. Forrest had 97% pass accuracy with 34 accurate passes. 3 of the goals came from crosses across the box, 1 was a rebound and 1 was a straight through ball from defence (Jullien for Klimala). Celtic had an NP xG of 3.59 while Hamilton's was 0.75. 25 shots at goal (15 on target), 81% possession and 88% successful pass completion showed the dominance Celtic had. Hamilton had 7 shots at goal. Celtic had 11 corners and 27 touches in the box.

Celtic's goal was conceded from a free kick into the box where Brown lost the first header, Forrest won the 2nd ball but McGregor couldn't block the shot and it went in from Jullien. Celtic lined up with; - Bain - Frimpong, Jullien, Ajer and Taylor - McGregor and Brown - Forrest, Christie and Elyounoussi - Edouard Probably our first choice 11 although Griffiths (out injured) may contest. Although Barkas had just been signed as first choice and was on the bench. Elhamed, Ntcham, Klimala and Dembele all came on as subs.

Fans view - A Taylor assist ??? 15 shots on target and 81% possession were key positive notes from the game.
