Celtic v Livingston (Sat Sep 19th 2020)

Celtic 3 (McGregor 20, Christie 23 and Ajeti 52)

Livingston 2 (Holt 17 and Serrano 78)

Celtic were behind in the game for 3mins but then went on to lead the game for the last 67mins.

Celtic's assists came from Ajeti, Taylor and Christie.

Livingston's first goal came from a Penalty (the 2nd we've been given against us this season) as Ajer isn't close enough to his player but then gets unfairly penalised for a handball when he is on the ground. I actually don't think it hit his hand. Livingston's second goal was from a high ball not being managed in the middle of the park and with plenty of space a quick one two took our Ntcham and Brown far too easily before a shot from 25 yards.

Celtic had an NP xG of 1.59 while Livingston's was 0.28. Celtic had 17 shots with 6 being on target. Possession was 71% with 871 touches. Celtic again (similar to the last game) had only 3 corners and touches in the box were 23 (which was nearly half of the 41 we had against Dundee Utd). Total Passes were 680 with a Passing accuracy of 86%.

Christie received a Man of the Match rating due to 78 touches, 4 shots at goal, 1 assist, 85% passing accuracy and 3 key passes.

This was Christie's 4th man of the match of the season which is incredible given he was moved out of position and also dropped. This follows on from having the most shots at goal in August (20) and the most key passes in August (12).

Lennon retained the 352 however again there were changes with Frimpong coming in for Forrest, Ntcham coming back into the team and Christie moving up front again. Ajeti came back in after being dropped meaning Klimala and Edouard were dropped. We had our 3rd different set of wing backs and our 3rd different forward 2 in our 3 games playing a 3-5-2.

Celtic lined up with;

- Barkas

- Elhamed, Jullien and Ajer

- Frimpong, Ntcham, Brown, McGregor and Taylor

- Christie and Ajeti

Forrest came on to maintain his ever present record in all games and Klimala came on to maintain his ever present record in league games. Elyounoussi, Turnbull and Bitton also came on.

Key notes from the game - We only had 23 touches in the box.
