Dundee Utd v Celtic (Preview)

Possible line up for Dundee Utd;

- 4-4-1-1

- 1 Siegrist

- 2 Smith, 12 Edwards, 6 Reynolds & 17 Robson

- 23 Harkes, 66 Fuchs, 18 Butcher & 3 Sporle

- 8 Pawlett

- 24 Shankland

Their average positions map for the game against Kilmarnock is opposite.

From the Player Impact graph below you can see their full backs (Smith & Robson) had the most touches and their right hand side (Smith & Harkes) had the most accurate passes.

From the 15min game trends below versus Kilmarnock they were always out possessed and out passed with their passing accuracy ranging from 44% to 66% at best.

Dundee Utd have won 2 of their last 12 games and lost 4 of their last 7. However they are still in the hunt for a Top 6 place so are well motivated and they have a better home record than St Mirren or St Johnstone who we have faced away recently.

Regarding NP xG they are 2nd worst for NP xGF and 3rd worst for NP xGA. They are the worst at conceded NP xG from Turnovers with a total of 6.4 conceded for the season to date. In their last 16 games they have had an NP xG lower than their opponent.

Dundee Utd defend very deep so the game may suit Ajeti more than Klimala. It would also suit 2 forwards more than the 4231 but we would want more width from those playing in the diamond.

Personally I'd play a 4-3-3 with Edouard wide left, Christie wide right and McGregor and Turnbull in the left and right midfield roles.

However I predict we might see a 4231 with Elyounoussi starting instead of Klimala.

My prediction 3-0 to Celtic.
