Match Stats (Celtic v St Johnstone)

Celtic 2

xG 3.23

(Giakoumakis 34 and Juranovic 80 PEN)

St Johnstone 0

xG 0.17

Before kick off our probabilities of winning the game were 76%, a defeat 7% and draw 17%.

Our team line up was;

- 15 Hart

- 56 Ralston, 20 Carter-Vickers, 4 Starfelt and 88 Juranovic

- 18 Rogic, 42 McGregor and 14 Turnbull

- 11 Abada, 8 Kyogo and 17 Jota

Two changes from the Ferencvaros game with Juranovic coming in for Montgomery and Giakoumakis coming in for Abada (with Kyogo moving to the right).

It was our third different left back in three games.

Johnston, Abada and Ajeti all came on as subs.

Starfelt had the most touches with an unbelievable 152 with Carter-Vickers next on 127. Starfelt also had the most accurate passes at 127 with Carter-Vickers and McGregor next on 106 each. For accuracy Hart was top with 96% with Starfelt and Turnbull next on 93%. Turnbull had 6 key passes.

FotMob's top rated players were Juranovic 8.7, Starfelt 8.5, Ralston 8.4 and Turnbull 8.4 while WhoScored had Starfelt 8.4, Ralston 7.8, Juranovic 7.6 and McGregor 7.6.

For NP xG Johnston had 0.99 and Giakoumakis 0.66 however I think that 0.66 is unfair on Giakoumakis as I don't think the chance was as easy as he made it look.

Our left side had the most attacks at 43% with the right side on 27% and 30% in the centre.

A totally dominant performance with 79% possession overall and 988 touches versus 367 for St Johnstone.

220 touches between 30 and 45 minutes was our most of any 15 minute segment this season as was the 91% possession in that period.

Passing accuracy was 91% for Celtic and 63% for St Johnstone. St Johnstone had 5 shots at goal to Celtic's 20 and had 0 on target to Celtic's 5. Two weekends in a row our opponents had 0 shots on target.

Aerials won was 62% v 38% in Celtic's favour and tackles won was 71% for Celtic and 58% for St Johnstone.
